ABOUT US
Kawana Touch Association offers fun and inclusive touch competitions for juniors and seniors all year round. Our grounds are leased from Sunshine Coast Council and are located at 1 Milieu Place, Birtinya. We run our competitions on a Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Kawana Touch Association is proud to have many players, referees and coaches that represent Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Australia.
We are affiliated with the Sunshine Coast Fraser and Burnett Districts Touch Association, Queensland Touch Football and Touch Football Australia.
Being an affiliation provides many benefits including:
- collaboration, growth and development opportunities with our national and state bodies, including other affiliates
- pathways and support for high performance players, referees, coaches and selectors
- events and representative tournaments for adults, and juniors
- assistance with funding opportunities and access to programs.


Our Executive Board
Our Executive Board were elected on 21 May 2025 to provide oversight to the governance, administration and operations of Kawana Touch Association.
The Executive Board are committed to ensuring the success of Kawana Touch Association through timely communication to our members, listening to our members, implementing good systems and processes and providing financial sustainability. They are responsible for setting the strategic direction and necessary plans to advance our vision for Kawana Touch Association to be the Sunshine Coast’s premier touch competition, offering opportunities for everyone of all ages and abilities to get involved and enjoy a great fun, family game.

TROY CLARK
President
Troy Clark has 25 years of administration and policy experience in local government of which a large component is consulting and collaborating with community members. As a Kawana local, Troy progressed his touch career from humble beginnings as a Kawana touch junior, to the elite level, having represented the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Australia.
Troy is passionate about Kawana Touch Association and would like to continue the growth and development of all junior and senior competitions as well as building a framework that ensures sustainability of the club for future volunteers and board members.
Brent Chambers
BRENT CHAMBERS
Vice President (Casual)
Brent comes to the Executive Board with extensive knowledge in management, finance and governance.
Brent brings a wealth of knowledge not only from a business perspective, but he also has history in touch administration and coaching and is a current player and referee. This experience in all facets of touch provides Brent with passion to ensure the sport is fun for all ages from social to elite levels.
Brent is keen to develop pathways for junior and senior players to participate, learn, develop and excel at Kawana Touch.
Kathy Stroud
KEIREN KENNEDY
Treasurer
Kathy is a proud Sunshine Coast local who has a long-standing passion for community sport and service. She holds a Business and Accounting degree from the University of the Sunshine Coast and has worked in local government and co-owned and operated a successful real estate business with her father since 2003. With previous experience as Treasurer of other sporting clubs, Kathy brings valuable financial oversight and governance expertise to our Executive Board.
Sport has always played a meaningful role in Kathy’s life. From playing rugby league as a child, to refereeing into her twenties, and now supporting her children in their own touch football journeys, she understands firsthand the positive impact of sport on young people. For Kathy, volunteering is both humbling and rewarding and she deeply values the importance of giving back.
Caroline Farrow
CAROLINE FARROW

With over 25 years of experience in office management, Caroline Farrow (Caz) brings a wealth of administrative expertise and a genuine passion for her role as Secretary of Kawana Touch. A dedicated touch football player since the age of eight, she has been an active and enthusiastic member of the touch community for decades.
Caz is known for her vibrant personality, strong sense of teamwork, and commitment to excellence. Her professional background has equipped her with outstanding communication, time management, and organisational skills, all of which she applies to Kawana Touch. Most recently, she was part of the victorious Kawana Touch Senior Mixed Team crowned Queensland State Cup Champions in 2024.

Troy is passionate about Kawana Touch Association and would like to see the fun and social aspect of both our senior and junior competitions reinvigorated with opportunities available for those pursing elite pathways.
Paul Cobham

Paul Cobham is a secondary school teacher at Chancellor State College where he coordinates the Touch Football Excellence Academy. He is passionate about the next generation of touch players and wants to see not only Kawana Touch Association thrive and succeed, but the performance outcomes at our Sunshine Coast regional level strengthen. Paul is an experienced regional, state and national coach and most recently coached the Australian under 18 girls team at the Asia Pacific Youth Touch Cup in May 2023. Paul has been a member of Kawana Touch Association since 2005 and would love to see it grow to the biggest and The Sunshine Coast’s premier touch competition, offering opportunities for everyone of all ages and abilities to get involved and enjoy a great fun, family game.best competition on the coast, which offers opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved and enjoy a great family game.
Keiren Kennedy
KEIREN KENNEDY
Treasurer
Keiren Kennedy is an experienced accountant and financial controller who brings careful, responsible management to our finances. He is passionate about the financial sustainability of Kawana Touch Association and focuses on the efficiency and effectiveness of all our systems and processes. After being touch football spectator, Keiren joined his wife in a mixed team in 2020 and instantly feel in love with the game. Keiren will continue to play an integral part of the future success of Kawana Touch Association and looks forward to a seeing the association grow and continue its role as a place of connection and fun for our community.
Caroline Farrow
CAROLINE FARROW
Secretary
Caroline Farrow (Caz) is a dynamic administrator with 20 plus years’ experience in office management. She is an avid touch football player and has been involved in the touch community since the ripe old age of eight. Caz has a bright personality, is a positive team player and brings a fantastic skill set to the Secretary role that includes excellent communication, time management and organisational skills. She has played in many representative sides and most recently was a part of the winning Kawana Touch 40s Women’s side who were crowned the 2023 Queensland State Cup champions. Caz is enthusiastic about overseeing the back of office systems and structures essential to the delivery of a smoothly run competition and in 2024 is playing in the newly reinvigorated Kawana Touch women’s competition.
