About the Elite Touch League
The Kawana’s Elite Touch League is a high-performance league for Men’s and Women’s divisions, created to give players the opportunity to develop advanced skills, connect with like-minded athletes, and experience elite-level touch football.
This league is more than just a competition – it’s a pathway for growth, a chance to learn from experienced players, and an opportunity to be part of something exciting for Kawana Touch and the Sunshine Coast.
Competition Details
- Location: Kawana Touch grounds
- Dates: 26 April to 14 June
- Day and time: Sundays, 2:30pm or 3:30pm
- Format:
- Men’s & Women’s Leagues
- 8 weeks (6 rounds, plus semi-finals and grand final)
- 4 teams per league
- Cost: $80 per player (paid once selected to team)
- Uniforms: Provided to all players

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to play in the Elite Touch League?
Players aged 15 (in 2026) and over with A/B grade experience and representative-level skills are encouraged to apply. Kawana members and Sunshine Coast affiliates are welcome.
Do I need to be an elite player to join?
No! If you’re an aspiring elite player who wants to improve and play at a higher level, this league is also for you
Will there be trials and how are teams selected?
There will be no trials for the Elite Touch League. Teams will be selected by the Kawana Touch panel to ensure a fair mix of experienced and developing players.
How many teams will be selected and what is the process for selection?
4 men’s and 4 women’s teams will be selected in each league (capped at 10 players per team). Teams selected by Kawana Touch panel.
Each team will include a mix of senior and youth players.
What is the structure of the competition?
8 weeks total: 6 rounds, plus semi-finals (1v4, 2v3) and grand final. Teams will be named Black, Purple, White, Gold and a captain/coach appointed.
What does the $80 player levy cover?
Your levy covers field hire, referee costs, and uniforms. This fee is paid once selected into the team.
Will uniforms be provided?
Yes, uniforms are included. Players will submit sizing upon acceptance.
What if it rains?
In the event of a washout, points will be split evenly across teams.
How do I register?

What happens if I can’t commit to all games?
We encourage full commitment, but if you miss multiple games without notice, you may not be invited back next season.
